Actually, there are 14 colours for both

Earthbaby Cloth Diaper suitable for babies and toddler up to weight 20kg.

It's almost like "XL" size pampers in the market.

All CD are Velcro type. The fabric is soft and the interior is microsuede.

Dioxin in is listed by the EPA as the most toxic of cancer related chemicals. BANNED by most of countries but not in USA (the main dispo manufacturer in the world).
Tributyi-tin (TBT) - a toxic pollutant known to cause hormonal problems in humans and animals. It will spread through skin even at minor quantity.
Sodium polyacrylate - Gel-like, super absorbent crystal. Sodium polycrylate is the same substance that was removed from tampons because of its link to toxic shock syndrome. This polymer causing an allergy such as vomiting, infections and fever.
The percentage of rashes amongst baby increase from 5% in year 1955 to 78% in year 1991. Imagine how the percentage increase by this year.
Multiplication of bacteria and ammonia in urine.
Cause asthmatic amongst babies.
Research year 2000 in German report that too high temperature at skrotum for baby boy will cause damage to his cooling mechanism and bring to barren problems.

CLOTH DIAPER CHARACTERISTICS

Suitable for baby 2 month old and above:

For baby below 2 months, change the diaper every 2-3 hours.

SUGGESTION PERIOD OF TIME TO WEAR:

7.00 am - 10.00 am 1 insert
10.00 am - 1.00 pm 1 insert
1.00 pm - 4.00 pm 1 insert
4.00 pm - 8.00 pm 1 insert

So, if the baby wearing CD as according to the above suggestion period, there will be 6 pocket pants 8 insert to be wear per day. However, it depends on how frequent your baby "pee" or "poops". Normally, for babies below 4 or 3 months they might need more than 6 pocket pants per day.

WHAT IS PUL, MICROFLEECE & INSERT?

PUL - Polyurethane Laminate
Is fabric with a waterproof laminate applied to the back. PUL fabrics are 100% waterproof and able to withstand washing in hot water and high heat drying over the life of your diapers. PUL fabrics will never crack, wrinkle or fade. PUL fabric was originally developed to be used in hospitals as waterproof barrier. Don't be mislead by other websites claim that PUL will wear out after 20 or 100 washings. This fabric was design to be autoclaved, meaning sterilized in a high heat.

Microfleece
A lightweight, double - sided micro-fiber fleece noted for its outstanding low pill velour face, stretch and chamois' like softness. It is commonly used for the the interior portion of diapers because of its softness.

Diaper Insert
The most important part in Cloth Diapers. Are used to absorb the liquid in a pocket diaper. They are made from a variety of materials and offer a convenient way to not only stuff the diaper's pocket, but also to adjust the absorbency needed. Made from fine fiber with diameter only 0.006mm, means 10 times finest than human hair.

CD CARE INSTRUCTIONS

THIS IS THE CARE INSTRUCTION FOR ALL TYPES OF CDs. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE SPECIFIC YOU CAN REFER TO SUCH CD AS SOME CDs CARE INSTRUCTION ARE DIFFERENT.

BELOWED ARE COMMON CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

For a machine wash, it is better to use laundry beg/washing bag to take care of the CD stitch and the rubber parts. You can also use pillow case.
Use a little bit of detergent, 1/4 from normal measurement.
Use no enzymes detergent, bleach and softener such as: Top, Daia, Trojan, Kuat Harimau.
Do not use Dynamo also as it makes CD hard to rinse and leave some detergent stain.
DO NOT USE fabric softener, blue or bleach.
DO NOT SOAK the CDs (soaking can reduce insert absorption and it leave a bad smell).
DO NOT USE brush because that will damage the soft fleece material.
DO NOT SOAK/STRIPPING with hot water and DO NOT IRON the CD.
For machine wash, DO NOT wash more than 24 CDs at one time for machine wash.
To wash VELCRO CD, remember to stick the velcro at laundry tab. This is to avoid the CD stick to insert and other CD while washing.

DO NOT use dryer to dry the CD.
Drying under the sun is good but let the inner (microfleece) face the sun light and hide the outer layer (PUL) belowed. (to ensure CD colour last long and not faded)
Do not button-off the CD roughly as it will be pulled out....hehe...do it smoothly and slowly.

HOW TO WASH CD?

Pre-wash before use without any detergent. Dry it and pre-wash again. Repeat 2-3 times. This is to make sure that the CD can absorb better.

Throw all "poops" into the toilet bowl and rinse to remove the residue until the smell is gone and put together with another CDs. Do not SOAK.
Take the insert out from the pocket pant.
The CD can be washed by hand or washing machine (washing machine is better). If hand wash must ensure that the CDs rinse thoroughly with an adequate water.
If the baby only "pee" on it just rinse off and put into a dry pail. (if want to gather all CD before wash)
Put all CDs in washing machine.
Use the cheapest detergent in the market without any excessive chemicals.
Drying Cds (under the sun)
If there are any yellowish staining on it, do not to worry because it will disappear after a day drying under the sun.
Must dry your CD under the sun as it become the best natural bacteria killer.
For day use (1 insert)
Night time use (2 insert)

TYPE OF CD IN THE MARKET

Prefolds and flat
Flat cloth is known as old square type that we have already known. Wearing it by using Snappi or pin. How about Prefold? Made from the same type of cotton, but with a little bit effort where it could be sewed at the middle to make it thicker so that the absorption would be more effective. This is the cheapest and most durable type of cloth diapers in the market.

Fitted Diapers
Is the next step in modern diapers. It is more alike to disposable diapers but sewed so it is fit to wear as it known by its own name "fitted". Made together with snap buttons and aplix. Easy to wear. There are also pocket fitted diaper where parents could choose which type of absorption they wanted to. Fitted, meanwhile is not water-proof so diaper cover will be needed. There are many type of cotton used to produce the fitted diapers such as weaving cotton, flannel (eg: baby cotton blanket), hemp, sherpa, cotton from a bamboo and velour.

Pocket Diapers
Sewed with pocket or inside where you could put an insert or anything absorb-able. Insert is use to absorb the pee and it can be washed. Pocket diaper is the favourite the most by most of the modern CD parents.

All-In-One (AIOs)
All In One Diapers. Just wear without adding any accessories. It' s version of disposable diapers...

So from now on you are expert in any type of Cloth Diapers.

WHAT IS CLOTH DIAPERS?

This is might be the first time you heard about Cloth Diapers when now there are many of things that we can throw in our modern life. You might want to know how does it like? The only diaper you know is what has been seen in the supermarkets which is square old type of diaper. So, to make it easier for you, we have been trying to find some useful information about modern diapers or which known as Cloth Diapers (CD).

The basic of wearing diaper is much more different now. We do not need to use a big pin and together with the plastic cover which is really made of plastic and you could see the pee trickling when it was leaking. Today, the Modern Cloth Diapers was made from the best fabric in the market. It's soft, durable enough, clean as it's look and no smell and easy to use, taking care off and washable. You can wash it by washing machine or dryer because PUL or Fabric Polyurethane Laminate is specially made for strength. So, there will be no problem.

The microfleece and suede fabric absorb the liquid far from the baby skin and as the result, the moment you take off the diaper you could see the baby skin is still dry. Other than that, the CD is dirty-proof. The baby (poop) will be easy to fall off without soaking it. You just rinse and put aside until the time to wash.

It is easy to stick the CD as it comes together with snap buttons and soft aplix (zap-on) which is, does not scratching baby skin. The process of changing diapers would be easier and faster.

Need a pin? Have you ever cross in mind that the pin was replaced with Snappi Diaper Faster! It was made from flexible source, non-toxic in the T long shape and it has hook in every edge of it. This will make sure that the baby could move comfortably and the CD is not fall off. ;)

The square traditional diaper could not fully absorb, so, this is where the new CD comes up with microfiber cotton and hemp as the diaper could absorb the liquid to the maximum level. The inserts come from many variation.

CLOTH PADS AND PANTYLINERS

You may or may not have asked yourself, "What are the risks of using disposable pads?". Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is the most commonly associated health risk for disposable pads. There are few studies documenting the actual amount of chemicals in disposable menstrual products, but we do know that even a very small amounts of these chemicals in the disposable pads have been linked to infertility and cancer. In addition, the chemicals react with menstrual blood to produce an unpleasant smell. Manufacturers are not required to disclose these chemicals on the label. Thus, we don't really know what we are putting in contact with our most sensitive parts. While disposable pads may look white and pretty, they are not sterilised.

That is why cloth pads are created to avoid the risk of infertility and cancer among women. Cloth menstrual pads are also ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY and do not contribute to landfill as they are reusable again and again. Unlike disposable pads, cloth pads does not contain any harmful chemicals. They are less likely to cause rashes, contact dermatitis, as well as helping women afflicted with certain types of vaginitis. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, you may find cloth pads to be more comfortable against your skin. Plus, you might be surprised that your menstrual blood will not smell at all on cloth pads.

1. Features

2. How to wash Cloth Pad?

- Cloth Pad is easier to use and wear as panties.
- Use cold water at all times

- Pre-wash the CP before use with water

- Rinse the CP for a few times to remove residue.

- Soak with detergent for 2-3 hours and hand or machine wash.

- If stain presists, rub some salt and soap into the area, then rinse, repeat a necessary.

- REMEMBER! Do not scrub with brush as i will damage the CP

- Drying CP under sunlight can help fade stain.

- It can last up to 4 hours on normal days, and up to 3 hours on the heaviest day(depends on individual)

INCREASE YOUR BREAST MILK WITH FENUGREEK

Why is Breastfeeding Important?
Breastfeeding is the best and safest way to feed your baby.

Your breast milk is made by you especially for your baby.
Your baby has been fed via the placenta before s/he was born, getting everything s/he needed from you. You will still be able to meet all baby's needs from the breast for at least the first six months after the birth,all in a form that s/he can easily digest.
Breast milk will increase your baby's resistance to many infections and diseases because you produce antibodies to protect your baby every day without even thinking about it.
Breast milk reduces the risk of developing allergies. Foreign proteins found in formula can easily pass through a newborn's immature gut and cause serious allergies.
Breast milk is free, always convenient and requires no sterilising, mixing or heating.
Breastfeeding helps your body return to your pre-pregnancy weight and your uterus to its normal size.
Breastfeeding creates a loving bond between a mother and her baby.

Can All Babies be Breastfed?

All mothers and babies are unique and individual. Differences in breastfeeding are expected and normal. Nearly every baby can be breastfed, even small and very sick babies, who will get added benefits. twins, premature babies and those born by caesarean section or forceps can all be breastfed.

When Can't I Breastfeed?

If you are taking drugs which, are necessary for your health, but may be dangerous for your baby, you may be unable to breastfeed. Discuss this with your doctor as there may be alternative medications available. You may choose not to breastfeed and will need to use formula milk.

How Do I Prepare for Breastfeeding?

No preparation is needed. Your body will make all the preparation necessary. Avoid soap or creams on the nipples. Your nipples are naturally moisturised, and creams and soap can interfere with this natural process.

When Should I Start Breastfeeding?

At birth, if all is well your baby should stay with you (ask and insist if your baby is taken away from you). Hold your baby close against your skin. Initially s/he will rest but within minutes s/he will start to look around, listening as either parents talks. You may like to consider this first hour as part of the birth and leave phone calls and visitors a while. You will find the baby will start to look for a feed usually within an hour of birth.The baby's instinct to suckle is very strong at this stage. Some babies take to the breast easily, others need more coaxing. Ensure you both achieve a good attachment. After the first feed, 'demand feeding' while 'rooming in' will help to make sure you have a good milk supply.

What is 'Demand Feeding'?

This means feeding your baby whenever s/he is hungry, and not setting the number of feed and length of feed yourself. This is more natural and encourages your milk supply. A hungry baby feed more often and this stimulates your body to produce more milk. Most babies feed every 2-6 hours - some are very regular, but most are quite unpredictable initially, especially at night. It takes at least 2-3 weeks before any sort of routine is develop so don't expect baby to feed only during your waking times. Night feeds are important for starting and keeping your milk supply, but there is no point waking a healthy baby to feed, unless you want to relieve uncomfortable breasts.

What is 'Rooming In'?

Your baby stays in the same room as you day and night. We encourage rooming in because it helps you get to know your baby and this close contact helps with demand feeding and establishing lactation.

How Do I Breastfeed?

It is very important that both you and baby are comfortable, relaxed and free from distractions when you are learning to breastfeed. The correct technique is very important in getting your baby on and off the breast to prevent damage to your nipples. Also, good attachment and successful breastfeeding causes hormones to be released to maintain breast milk production. We encourage you to ask for help as often as you need to in the first few days. You baby and you will soon learn the skills and feeding will become much easier.

For good attachment:

Sit or lie in a comfortable position. Unwrap baby, s/he will stay warm next to you.
Your baby should be supported on his side with his head tilted back a little, baby's chest facing your chest, mouth directly opposite your nipple.
When baby's mouth is wide open, bring baby on to the breast so that the entire nipple and most of the areola (the dark area around the nipple) are in the baby's mouth. When correctly attached baby's chin will be tucked firmly against your breast, his nose will be clear.
the nipple will be right at the back of the baby's tongue where it can't get damaged. It should be comfortable to feed, if there is increasing pain you will need to stop and start again.
Ask your midwife or someone experienced to show you how to release the suction and how to reattach the baby correctly.
Painful feeding is a sign that the baby is not attaching properly. If you find feeding painful or find the nipple is getting squashed, baby needs to learn to take a bigger mouthful. Compressing the nipple may not be particularly painful at first but if the baby continues to compress the nipple it will soon become damaged and very painful. It is important to achieve a better attachment.
Check the shape of your nipple after every feed initially. It should be round and not distorted. If your nipples are compressed or distorted after a feed, baby needs to take a bigger mouthful of breast. Ask for assistance as compressing the nipple very feed will soon lead to damage and pain.

Your baby will want to feed frequently in the first few days. This is their way of building up your milk supply.

What Do I Do between Feeds?

Normal hygiene is sufficient; don't use soap or a drying agent on your nipples. At the end of each feed express a little milk, apply this to your nipples and let it dry. This will keep your nipples healthy and help to reduce tenderness. Change your bra and breast pads if they are wet to keep your nipples dry. Try to rest as much as possible between attending to your baby's needs.

Is My Baby Getting Enough?

Although it is not possible to measure the amount of milk taken by the baby from the breast, it is assumed that they are getting enough if they are content and are passing a normal amount of urine and faeces.

Do I Need to Give My Baby Any Other Food?
Healthy babies do not need any extra artificial formula or water. If the baby is small, sick, premature or jaundiced it may be medically indicated to give formula. In these cases the formula will be provided by the hospital on a doctor's order. It is not unusual for a newborn to be unsettled after a feed, especially in the first few days before the milk comes in. Thy settling with a cuddle, a nappy change or maybe another feed after a short break.
